How is a messaging system working?
The messaging system is the technology that we have created for the ease of our customers. With this technology paying members can invite one another to a chat with just a click of a button.
The technology is very fast, it opens an active LIVE window with a message from the user that is inviting you and his information, such as his photograph, room name and the message he wrote to you.
It could also be used as a TALK feature, with it members could just talk to each other, while doing something else on the site like chatting to someone else.
What is a kiss? How many times can I kiss someone?
A kiss is a quick, fun way to let someone know you're interested. You pick a one-liner from our list of kiss, and it's sent to the member of your choice. The member gets the kiss in his or her onsite email Inbox and then can go to your profile and kiss you back. There are limitations on the amount of kisses you can send to someone. This policy is designed to protect our members from flooding, spam and other ways of abusing this feature.
What is a chat? How does it work?
Our personel chat is very simple to use, just type you message in the window under the chat and enjoy the conversation. If you interested to view a profile of someone in a chat room, click on the appropriate icon next to the user's name in the list on the right. If you would like to join the private conversation with comeone, click on the message icon next to the nick-name. Please note that it is concidered inpolite to send private messages without asking for the members permission and if you did not ask for it, most likely your contact will be declined.
How do I change my email address or password?
You can change your email address or password on the "Your Profile" page.
Click "My Account" button on the left side of the list of personal options. Then for chanjing the e-mail click on "Personal Info", and on "Change your password" - for password change.
After you've made your changes, click "Save changes" or "Change" accordingly at the bottom of the page to save.
Do people actually meet on your site? Do they ever get married?
Hundreds of people meet on our site daily and go on to date and start relationships. We've also had hundreds of marriages across many borders. To see for yourself, check the site for real member stories of real connections.
When someone emails me, where does the email go and how do I respond?
When a member sends you an email, it goes straight into your onsite message Inbox, located in "Your Box" button on every other page. After you have received your new email it becomes "red" to signify that it is new and un-read.
To read the email, simply login to the site and press "Mailbox" button. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply" in the member's note, write your own message and send away. Your note will go straight into the member's onsite Inbox also located on his "Mailbox
All communications with other members stay onsite so that you never have to give out any personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are ready, you can exchange phone numbers and even meet in person.
How can I update my profile?
To update your profile, go to "My Account" button at the left side of any page. From there you could apply as many changes as you see fit, including but not limited to changing your pictures and other important factors. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen by pressing "Save Changes" button when you're done or before you choose to go to the next page of changes.
When I suspend my membership, does it end my subscription? Can I put my subscription on hold?
Yes. Ones your request is processed your subscription will be completely cancelled. Please make sure not to take any removal steps before you subscription is near over. There will be no refund offered in this case
How do I pay for the membership, why are you using PayPal?
Currently YourDater is offering only two options of payments: PayPal or check (money order). Ones your subscription is expired, you will be offered to complete a payment with PayPal. If you would prefer to pay differently, you may send your check to administration, but this form of payments is offered for a minimum of 6 month and may be assosiated with delays in prosessing, due to time required for mailing processing and depositing your payment. We do reccomend to use PayPal, as it is proven to be the most reliable and most popular online payment processing system available in US.
